Sometimes I fucking love science. One of Wade's biggest arguments is that (and this is an oldie but goodie...) the FCS is strange because it has those two CGG codons coding the arginines. Now, take a look at the Feline CoVs -first R is coded by CGG too. Totally sinks that entire argument. [shared file(s): Screen Shot 2021-05-06 at 9.19.12PM.png]

In context

A single line often inverts meaning once you see what it answers, so neighbouring messages are always shown.

First experiment to stick the SC2 RBD in a mouse adapted strain.

Yeah - very likely, but depends on the purpose of the experiment.

And just for reference - here are those beautiful feline CoVs with an identical FCS motif. It's out there... [shared file(s): Screen Shot 2021-05-06 at 9.07.11 PM.png]

Looking at the CGG codon itself and how often it's used: Common cold CoVs: 4% SARS: 5% SARS2: 3% SARSrCoVs: 2% Totally sinks the argument.
