    On the Rambaut scale - how alarming do these look to you? It's a little unclear here in San Diego, but I _do_ thinkwe might see it expanding rather rapidly - and in different lineages.

    There is a ton of mischief changing L452R could do. Likely a neutralizing epitope of course. The positive charge onR likely changes the interactions with several other chains. This could improve the interaction between Y453 andH34 on ACE2.

    Anyway I'm pretty much done with the revised text . Everyone under water of course and SUPER busy, but when I get the thumbs up from the channel I'll go ahead and post... Check the last p[aragraph of the discussion for the major change and incorporation of the Tommy data.
