    I agree - unlikely. However, better vaccinate Noodle and Turbo just in case.

    But yeah - untreated HIV infection seems like it would make a person a perfect incubator to generate variants.

    I agree that human infection (maybe HIV infected individuals / immunocompromised) makes the most sense, however, that new paper on VOCs being able to infect rodents... Could be a huge undiscovered reservoir hiding too- because we aren't really looking outside humans. But I agree - much less likely, although I think we should becareful not to dismiss the possibility.
