But, I think they'll be other opportunities to set the record straight - plus the fact that there are closer viruses out there in nature. Just a question of whether Alina et al. can shut down the work before they are found.

Yeah, really good point. Rob Knight has been doing a ton of surface sampling from hospital rooms, rooms with confirmed infections, etc. - teeny tiny amounts of RNA can be found. It's there - but not a lot. Finding a lot of virus RNA on grates would suggest active shedding - probably fecal.

WashPost spinning here. i'm guessing [hoping] White house are smart enough to figure this out - maybe with a little help from Kristian... [shared file(s): Opinion I The Biden administration conf...Wuhan lab claims - The Washington Post.pdf]

Oh, Josh Rogin.... It's amazing you can actually write a full article but without saying anything at all - pure wordsoup.

So, the White House no nothing which means there is no security agency information on the lab escape. End of story.

    Yup - simple as that.

One year in and not a single lead suggestion any connection to the lab - which is actually quite remarkable in the sense that they could cook _anything_ up to make it at least _appear_ to be related to lab escape. But they don't even have that.
