[Robert Garry] Richard Muller is an emeritus professor of physics at the University of California Berkeley and a former senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. [2022-03-15 11:34:06] [Robert Garry] David Asher - worked in Trump Admin under John Ratcliffe Director of NI https://americanmilitarynews.com/2020/12 /chinas-testing-biologically-enhanced-super-soldiers-on-their-own-troops-says-dni-ratcliffe/ [2022-03-15 11:35:07] [Kristian Andersen] Ah, yes - Muller, that's the guy. Disgraceful. [2022-03-15 11:35:49] [Robert Garry] He and Quay wrote the WSJ article on double Cig [2022-03-15 11:36:53] [Robert Garry] It's us vs them in January2023 if the House falls... [2022-03-15 11:39:59] [Robert Garry] Giroir who is from NOLa was on a recent GVN call - he tried to be nice to me. [2022-03-25 16:54:28] [Robert Garry] https://virological.org/t/spike-protein-mutations-in-novel-sars-cov-2-variants-of-concern-commonly-occur-in-or-near-i ndels/605 I'm wondering if we shouldn't update the INDEL virological post with BA.1 and BA.2. The association of the Omicron mutations in BA.1 and BA.2 with indels is *even more pronounced*. Started to draft an alignment, but this should also included Alpha, Beta and Gamma. [shared file(s): image.png] [2022-03-25 16:57:51] [Robert Garry] Also as @Kristian Andersen noted something up with the glycosylation sites. BA.2 loses its first N-linked site (which is unlike any other variant of concern AFAIK), but interestingly to me BA.2 picks up a predicted O-linked glycan at 349 that is also present in the BANAL viruses. [2022-04-01 17:08:03] [Kristian Andersen] I missed this note from Ian. He didn't even bring this up once, did he? So just an outright lie? [shared file(s): Screen Shot 2022-04-01 at 17.07.05.png] [2022-04-01 17:29:07] [Robert Garry] not once - out-right lie. [2022-04-01 17:30:37] [Kristian Andersen] @Eddie Holmes and @Andrew Rambaut do you agree? [2022-04-01 17:37:49] [Andrew Rambaut] Can't see anything...
