    Random thought. Weifeng identified 24 bat CoVs in 1100 hectare area. So, if people, such as the China CDC, have been sampling bats in Yunnan and other Chinese provinces then they must be detecting coronaviruses. That's a racing certainly. But there is no information in the public domain on what they have found. Hence, they mudt be sitting on data.

    I don't have a sense of how evenly distributed CoVs are, so it's likely that there are 'pockets' of very high density,while most pockets have none/little. That said, I'm sure there's more data to be shared....

    Ah, I see what you're saying - yes, sampling has increased by _a lot_, I'm sure. Will be interesting to see what they find - probably a fuck ton of SARSr-CoVs so we have additional reason to be concerned....
