So, if people, such as the China CDC, have been sampling bats in Yunnan and other Chinese provinces then they must be detecting coronaviruses. That's a racing certainly. But there is no information in the public domain on what they have found. Hence, they mudt be sitting on data.

Nope. None. And look at the title "Classified study found COVID-19 _could_ have originated in Chinese lab". Sure, itcould - however, likely didn't. Anything is possible - but in science we need actual data.

I don't have a sense of how evenly distributed CoVs are, so it's likely that there are 'pockets' of very high density,while most pockets have none/little. That said, I'm sure there's more data to be shared....
