[Robert Garry] [thread - ID: 2021-05-03 14:01:29] @Robert Garry Apparently, Bill just wants to play on-line bridge 24-7. [2021-05-03 15:52:25] [Robert Garry] Z Division https://wjla.com/news/nation-world/exclusive-classified-study-found-covid-19-could-have-originated-in-chinese-lab. I'm guessing Z Division is where we brew up our current version of super-soldiers. [2021-05-03 15:58:45] [Kristian Andersen] Hah - "Z Divison". Love it. I like to think of us as being the "A Team" - much cooler, really. [2021-05-03 15:59:11] [Robert Garry] The intel community has no evidence whatsoever that remotely suggests that WIV had SC2 before the pandemic. [2021-05-03 16:02:41] [Kristian Andersen] Nope. None. And look at the title "Classified study found COVID-19 _could_ have originated in Chinese lab". Sure, it could - however, likely didn't. Anything is possible - but in science we need actual data. [2021-05-03 16:20:28] [Eddie Holmes] Reminds me of a classic British TV show called 'Z Cars'. I hope the Z Division play the same iconic music at the start of each day (interesting factoid is that Everton FC in UK still play this tune when they run onto the pitch): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWflrCrwUSw [2021-05-03 16:27:57] [Eddie Holmes] Random thought. Weifeng identified 24 bat CoVs in 1100 hectare area. So, if people, such as the China CDC, have been sampling bats in Yunnan and other Chinese provinces then they must be detecting coronaviruses. That's a racing certainly. But there is no information in the public domain on what they have found. Hence, they mudt be sitting on data. [2021-05-03 16:33:28] [Kristian Andersen] I don't have a sense of how evenly distributed CoVs are, so it's likely that there are 'pockets' of very high density, while most pockets have none/little. That said, I'm sure there's more data to be shared.... [2021-05-03 16:36:16] [Eddie Holmes] I'm 100% certain of it. I bet they have a shit load of data. Question is whether it will ever see the light of day. [2021-05-03 16:40:04] [Kristian Andersen] Well, if they have data now, what's to say they didn't have shit load of data prior to the pandemic...? Asking for a friend... [2021-05-03 16:41:57] [Eddie Holmes] No, they weren't looking then. The China CDC had no interest in this until after the pandemic started. [2021-05-03 17:06:50]
