when you add *under Trump* it all makes perfect sense.

Can you believe it - he was the President of the US...

I wrote a little note to 60 Minutes about the upcoming Metzl interview. He's going to push the theory that SARS-CoV-2 is a product of military research at WIV.
-
Oh please, please, please let him do exactly that - it's going to make them look like idiots

Yes- my goal was to make them at least put up a bunch of disclaimers and actually label him as the idiot he is. Redfield is simply looking to be relevant for another news cycle after being a big part of the biggest public healthfuckup in history.

FROM 60 minBob, Thank you for your note. I assure you that neither Jamie Metzl nor anyone else in our piece alleges that the virus isthe product of a bioweapons program. You should also know that we interview Peter Daszak at length in oursegment about the animal to human pathway hypothesis that the WHO-led team has concluded is most likely. RICH

Rich, After listening to Shi's seminar, hearing Metzl's question to Shi and his follow-up quotes I'm still very concerned about the direction that Metzl is taking the "debate." However, it's good know that there is balance from Peter Daszak. And, I believe the WHO report actually will reset the conversation, despite the best efforts of Metzl and others todismiss the report before it appears. Best, Bob G

That's the best I can do.

Good effort Bob - they're going with the false equivalence of course, but there's not much you can do to counter that with people like Lipsitch coming out saying it's fair game. Jamie though... Why they interview him in particular, I don't know - he's exceptionally stupid.
