    Good to know! Impressive nonetheless - can you ask him what secondary reagent he used for the pango elisa? We've been considering doing it too in Africa but you cant buy anti- pango IgG. Maybe cat, dog or ferret???

    They said same about GD pango of course which is why pango serology is important. Pango actually carry the virus.

    Which is what I always thought!! I never really believed the single outbreak stuff because there are 2 pango lineages.

    The question is whether the progenitor of SC2 is endemic in Chinese pangos or Malaysian ones and is being imported. I think Chinese pangos are pretty thin on the ground these days for obvious reasons.
