Thanks Kristian, this is really doing wonders for my mental health.

You live in Australia. No sympathy.

Fair point.

Looking at that bat virus I'm honestly surprised we haven't all died of coronavirus infections already. Such a wild family. Interesting to see a partial 'human' RBD

I'm mainly looking forward to Alina and crowd trying to take it down

All the building blocks are in bats. But, I'm with Eddie in thinking that Pangos have a couple of related Pango virus lineages they are carrying - that's despite Daszak and Alina musing that the pangos get infected after they arecaptured by humans or some other captured animal. The pango that get caught are the sick ones - just like the monkeys/apes with Ebola virus are sick and get captured. The third pango cov from China pretty much seals it forme.

Looking foward to Tommy's pango data...being sequenced now I think.

Weifeng has written this review paper and stuck my name on it. It contains the following paragraphs: "On June 11,2020, a COVID-19 resurgence was reported in Beijing after 56 consecutive days without confirmed local cases inBeijing. By mid-June, a total of 368 cases were confirmed and epidemiological investigation linked all the confirmed cases to the Xinfadi market, suggesting a single infection source. Genomic surveillance and epidemiological investigation identified the same SARS-CoV-2 virus from the frozen salmon internationally imported in the coldstorage which sold salmon to a booth in the Xinfadi market. This outbreak highlights that cold-chain food contamination may be responsible for the resurgence in Beijing. After that China began to perform routinesurveillance of SARS-CoV-2 for cold-chain related occupational population. Similarly, the source for the COVID-19 outbreak in Qingdao Municipal Chest hospital was identified to be two stevedores responsible for internationallyimported seafood who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in a routine test on September 24, 2020. SARS-CoV-2nucleic was detected in cold-chain food and environmental samples and live SARS-CoV-2 was also successfully isolated from xx [Zhangyong EID], which provided direct evidence that SARS-CoV-2 contaminated seafood is ableto trigger human infections. It is worth mentioning that there were internationally and domestically imported seafoodon sale in the Huanan seafood market before it was closed on January 1, 2020. Whether contaminated cold-chain food initiated the infections at the Huanan seafood market remains elusive."

Author list? Opt 1 - switch Eddie and Kristian and make Eddie corresponding. Opt 2 leave Eddie at second and make him co-first. Not sure where to put Tommy in either case.
