Some of this stuff is actually pretty interesting - but necessarily because of what the paper insinuate. The Huanan market is on Line 2 as well (so is WIV) and where one of these early sequences differ from Hu-1, it is indeed ancestral (as in, the same as RaTG13).I think it's entirely possible these may be some of the very earliest patients and suspected in early December - only later to be sequenced. That Lancet paper with patients dating back to the very beginning of December also shows that China probably knew something was going on early December and not mid-December, which I think is the'official' story. Not too surprising, but some of these details are pretty interesting. Doesn't really point to lab origins -although the registration dates are a little puzzling and I'm not sure if this particular hospital should raise a flag (ithas a weird name, but don't they all - some hospital bound to be first seeing patients...).
