Private channel session 625
13 messages over —, 2020-11-28 – 2020-11-28.
A “conversation” here is an activity session — a run of messages with under 60 minutes of silence inside it. The channel had no native conversation boundaries.

Yes, very interesting. I never knew there was a call.
-
This is a corker: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3724275

Utter shit. I like how the top journals have preprint services now so you can see where the authors have submittedto.
-
Based on the call I had with WHO (and I believe this preprint was part of what instigated that) I had started to get together some data to do a rebuttal. But this is way worse than I imagined. It is just waffle.

Will be interest to see how hard this is pushed into the media - i.e. is it government sponsored.
-
It may not be government sponsored, but the government will be delighted and I assume it's all over their state media. I'll see what has to say.
-
They certainly seem to be offering it to the WHO's 'origins investigation committee'.
-
Mad shit.

Guardian article is OK Andrew's right: "Will be interest to see how hard this is pushed into the media - i.e. is itgovernment sponsored." It willalso be interesting to see how Trump supported media (Fox, Newsmax, OAN) handle this.
-
Yes - I saw the Guardian article. It is good that they make it clear that this is a political angle and doesn't come from the science.
-
Agree - The whole notion of precirculation is of course something we offered up in PO1 - who knew that would be subverted to Italy and India [or maybe other countries beginning in I]. Perhaps another paragraph or two for PO2?

Is the article still up? Eddie's link doesn't work for me...
