DC.Scheduling@LexitasLegal.com paper that she sent us the sequences. MS. SALAZAR: No. So when there were these allegations in 2020, early 2020, that that virus could have started the pandemic, did she reach out to you, or did you reach out to her about those accusations? DR. BARIC: I have not reviewed my emails from her back in 2020 or so, in a year or so. MS. SALAZAR: So you communicate with her often, or did you? DR. BARIC: No. Not really. I mean, in reality, oftentimes my relationship with her is described as a long12 term collaborative effort. In fact, we've only published three papers together. One was the 2015 paper, one was 2017 or '18 or so, when we were both working with another collaborator, and I didn't realize she was collaborating with him as well until I saw a draft of the paper. MS. SALAZAR: Who was it? DR. BARIC: That was Fang Li. MS. SALAZAR: Fang Li. Okay. DR. BARIC: And then there was a 2020 or so paper that we published together using the mice that we sent her. MS. SALAZAR: Okay. You sent her those mice when? DR. BARIC: It took a couple of years to get all that paperwork through. It was around 2017 or '18. MS. SALAZAR: Okay. And did she pay you for them?
