Around 2013 or 2014, Zhengli Shi identified two new sarbecoviruses called SHC014 and WIV1. She was able to culture WIV1 in cell culture, and they published a paper in Nature on that. And we met at a meeting and we had some discussions. Ultimately, she provided me with the sequences, and we used that, of the spike, going at the spike like a protein. And so we build chimeric viruses.
