I'm trying to get them to do it. From what I understand via Shi is they feel they are in a damned if they do/damned ifthey don't scenario. But good to advise them it would be communicated through some trusted journalists. I'll keep trying.

    @Robert Garry Do you think the Wang et al. people who publicly say why they deleted the data? That would help a lot. Perhaps this can be communicated through John Cohen at Science (or even Kai) that it is reported in a neutralway? I can also ask Yongyi to tell Jon about the pangolin deletion.
