Bill does not hold back "Senior scientists have ample opportunity to press for re-investigation privately and effectively with a plethora of government officials, without grandstanding in a letter to _Science_. Such unprofessional narcissism on the part of Bloom et al. (5) , that endangers others and foments hostilities among nations, is both irresponsible and deplorable. I hope they enjoyed their day in the sun and one more Science citationon their _curricula vitae_. Alas, fame and press coverage are fleeting, but the damage done is not".

I love an old school virologist who doesn't give a fuck. There are a few in NOLA...

He's spot on though - it is irresponsible and shameful. I hope they read this.
-
It absolutely is - equal measure arrogance, ignorance, and naiveté. As Bill said, "_I hope they enjoyed their day in the sun and one more Science citation on their curricula vitae_". Itwon't last.
-
Totally. The arrogance is breath-taking...we in our tidy offices know better than the WHO who actually went to Wuhan.

He's also got a fair amount of science in there as well. I like the way he turns the mine story on it's head. Happy tobe "corrected" vis-a-vis the RNA - he's right of course. To Bill's point about animals in your back yard - this littlepossum showed up in my back yard tonite - they can carry some bad stuff. [shared file(s): image.png]
