    Nope. But definitely breaking news.

I think it's FOMO for a lot of authors. Appalled by Worobey being on there. I can't see how this will possibly lead toanything.

Baric is just trying to cover his ass. Pathetic. The last paragraph is basically 'hey, we're not racists'.

"Not racists, however, the Chinese scientists, authorities, and public health officials are lying"

There are some clearly false musings: "Although there were no findings in clear support of either a natural spilloveror a lab accident, the team assessed a zoonotic spillover from an intermediate host as "likely to very likely," and alaboratory incident as "extremely unlikely" [(4), p. 9]. Half true - as @Kristian Andersen has tweeted there are some clear findings in support of natural origin.

"Public health agencies and research laboratories alike need to open their records to the public." Let the record show that these scientists are accusing Tony Fauci and Francis Collins of being culpable in the alleged cover-up.This is the same talking point of the Republicans in their letter to the WH.

Correct. False equivalence. All the data we have so far supports a natural origin - the only one missing is the intermediate host. Which may or may not exist and also wouldn't satisfy the likes of eDim.

I laughed when I saw ""Public health agencies and research laboratories alike need to open their records to the public."". I mean, how naive are these people?
