It's extraordinary that Jamie's letter still rattles on about RaTG13. When will they learn? They also want to know why Shi didn't mention the FCS in her 1st Nature paper...well no one spotted that until about 2 weeks after the sequence release. Initially, it was just about getting the sequence out as quickly as possible.
-
Shi must have been hoping that no one would notice it.

It's the same pile of shit and garbage. Filled with accusations of conspiracies, cover-ups, unmanaged CoI, widespread falsification of data and lies. Yet, call this a conspiracy theory and they somehow become the aggrievedparties. Also based on poor understanding of basic virology and biology. Simply a massive distraction - it is awonder that serious journos consider this "credible."

Perfect summation Bob!

Yeah, I thought they maybe had something new - and then I saw the first line of their "demands".... :face_with_rolling_eyes:

I _do_ wish Shi would put that fucking database back up though - I don't understand what that is about.
-
DISTRACT keeps milking that one and they get credit for it every time.

It may not be Shi. I agree that it's not a good look and could easily be fixed. Although, I do like the idea of the Chinese military putting the viruses they are working on in a publicly accessible database (and presenting their asposters at a conference while in uniform).
