Any version of this would have required a researcher to have walked into a bat cave and magically finding the next pandemic virus - only to get themselves infected, wearing PPE. They then covered it up, and so did the entire WIV. The virus then somehow ended up in a market - where they were trading wild animals from parts of China where similar viruses have previously emerged - and caused the first cluster of epidemiologically connected cases. Sure, it's possible. However.

These people are throwing up so many different 'hypotheses' that they can no longer think straight (if ever they could). That includes A LOT of high profile scientists by now - funnily enough, none of them having worked onsimilar problems before.
