Here's a much higher resolution map of the Huanan seafood market. [shared file(s): image.png]

Now the update is that the WHO report is coming out next week.

At least Metzl's missing the opportunity to bash the actual report on 60min.

I think I can map the samples onto the map with a little help.

Getting a translation on that map and Ct values would be great

well maybe no ct values but we know which samples generated positive sequences - i guess of pcr products and which gave genomes at least partial by ngs. it's a pretty good surrogate. i'll try to get Shitao to help me before cobtoday.

@Robert Garry more unforced errors - it's how you lose a tennis match as i understand it.

There's clearly clustering of cases in some of the stalls - I'd like to know that those held raccoon dogs and/orcivets... Or pangolins. Or whatever.

My guess is that's what Daszak's tiling project is trying to show along with Eddie's smoking raccoon dog pics. "Thirty-one of the 33 positive samples were collected from the western zone of the market, where booths of wildlife trading concentrated. The result suggests that the novel coronavirus outbreak is highly relevant to the trading of the wild animals, experts said. The successful isolation of the novel coronavirus further substantiates that the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market contains a large quantity of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), according to the experts."
