Real COVID-19 is not too hard to spot serologically - but with caveats - high correlation btwn rxty to Nucleoprotein, RBD and S2 PLUS neutralization. Caveat: you will get something like this in the very rare person with al lot ofseasonal CoV infections.

DD is doing as good as he can (impressed actually). On the other hand Daszak is just a disaster. Yes the early case thing (not to mention the frozen food concession) is not playing well. Will have to get really lucky with blood as thereis not much SC2 there. Some non infectious, but it's going to be low, high Ct at best.. That awful CDC paper [and other] notwithstanding there is a lot of CROSS-REACTIVITY with seasonal CoVs {good paper in this week's Cell] soserology is going to be dicey at best. Yes - what you need to find - and you could get lucky - is a bunch of sera that binds multiple SC2 proteins and is neutralizing. Science has to lead us out of the Phoney War (TM) (well put!). Ithink the cambo, thai and bat post is really need next week. Eddie you did a masterful job sorting out the weak points!
