Yeah, that was really dumb. To be honest though - I think it was the only way they could get the politicians to wakeup, so they used it as an excuse.

I remember when the UK banned mink farming. There was generally widespread support for getting rid of it.

Same in Denmark - that's the crazy part. All of a sudden people seem to have forgotten that the mink industry isculling millions of mink every year for fur coats... People are not logical.
