It's obvious, but the only bits I'm really interested in are the RBD and the cleavage site of the progenitor of SARS-CoV-2. Yeah would be great. Hopefully not another - we have the 99+% virus cycle of build-up, promise, anticipation and - then most sadly deflation. WHO is supposedly putting a panel together to "investigate" the originsas well but I'd hope that the Chinese might have figured out a way to actually find something. I guess if I had toguess on species X I'd go with bat - pretty good bet.

Some complete BS answers (they had the sequence by Dec 26/27) but interesting that he says there is a task force investigating the animal origins.

I fully expect George Gao's team to come up with a paper describing a very closely related virus in species X in fairly near future. Let's just hope it's close enough to end debate and that they made all the raw read data available.

Interesting... No, I did not read that - but will do. I really do hope a source will come up - would be so much easier and just end this shit show.

Completely agree. I so want that to happen.

Bob, I'll take your bat and raise you a raccoon dog. Only because they are so weird. I still think there was an intermediate. I can't see how WHO will be able to do what China can't. It's also the obvious way for China to end all the conspiracy shit - find a believable natural origin and it's over. Let's watch this space.
