FWIW - the NPR guy told me that BL claims that he's been misquoted (seems like a couple of times) and that he still supports PO1. It's just that he wanted to make the point that he thinks working with bat covs at BSL2 is a bad idea.:flipper:

Yup. What's key here - if there was _evidence_ to support the lab leak, taking that latter path would (unfortunately) have been necessary. However, there isn't any evidence, so it ends up exactly like he writes it. Sad!
