Let's hope the reviewers see this. That's the great thing about bioRxiv - if you're a reviewer you can get most of itdone just by following a few threads on Twitter.

Eddie - I've been asked to do an interview with one of your local TV stations. I'm guessing Kristian turned them down. Too bad I think with Kristian as our "face" we could get to 50K pretty fast.

It seems our score might have hit a plateau - similar to the US COVID-19 curve... Talking to the House tomorrow -that might ultimately lead to a boost.

I'm 100% certain he said a lot more than that - and was very reasonable - but the journo has just picked specific quotes and chosen the context. That particularly Nature reporter has form and I refuse to talk to him.

Yes - but the article also says that OC43 caused the 1898 Russian flu. I thought it was H3N8. Is this true aboutOC43 or don't we know. OC43 has a furin site and O-glycans.

There can't be any evidence it is OC43, surely?

Drosten sorta comes out and says it too. "The emergence of HCoV-OC43 in humans was proposed to be linked to a host-switching event around the year 1890, a time that coincides with a pandemic of respiratory disease recorded inhumans (Vijgen et al., 2005, 2006)."
