[2021-06-03 08:20:32] [Kristian Andersen] As for our opening paragraph, I was playing around with the "capture-release" vs "lab leak" stuff yesterday, making some FAQs to respond to the stuff around Tony's emails. What I think is key here - and maybe we could specifically mention it - is that a "lab leak" is insufficient in itself to explain the emergence of SARS-CoV-2. A scientific theory of SARS-CoV-2 emergence needs to be able to account for _all_ facts surrounding the origin - the "lab leak" only provides a very small part of that, not being able to explain everything prior to the leak or the fact that this got going in a wet market. I'll see if I can incorporate a single sentence to that effect as I go through - the beauty here is that "natural emergence" explains everything.
