MS. SALAZAR: Were you ever asked about that paper by
anyone?
DR. BARIC: Yes. On the 13th of February, I believe,
13th or 14th -- again, exact day is going to be difficult
for me to recollect without notes in front of me -- but on
the 13th or 14th I was up in D.C. for a progress report
meeting on a grant and also giving a talk at some meeting.
So we scheduled a meeting for about an hour with his
leadership team, and I met him either at his office or at
one of the NIH buildings for the extramural program.
MS. SALAZAR: Okay. So that meeting was the 13th or
14th?
DR. BARIC: 13th or 14th, yes.
MS. SALAZAR: It's not the 11th?
DR. BARIC: It might be the 11th. I don't think it's
the 11th.
MS. SALAZAR: Yeah. That's another topic that we
wanted to discuss, because I think there's been some
confusion just in our documents of when the meeting
actually occurred. I think it's been on some calendars for
the 11th.
DR. BARIC: I know those emails have been FOIA'd
multiple times, and it says exactly when I was supposed to
meet them and where. So I would guess that they're in the
