Recipients on this medium are inferred from channel membership, not per-message addressing.

But that of course isn't the point because one traffic accident doesn't cause 4 more a few days later.

In context

A single line often inverts meaning once you see what it answers, so neighbouring messages are always shown.

OMFG - he actually went there? Completely lost his marbles .

I have been seeing several of his "school" threads that have been thoroughly unhelpful - but comparing to traffic deaths (which so many nutters have done - mostly on Fox News) truly is a new low for him.

I really don't understand his analogy either - I mean, we have things like seatbelts, airbags, crumple zones, andautonomous braking invented - is he saying we should go back to a 1950s car with COVID? Just pretend it isn't there? It's worked really well for the US.

Exactly - it is a bad analogy in so many ways. Huge investment in road safety to the point where it is very small inUK.

So strange. I guess he's happy he's finally found the spotlight - he tries really hard to be a good scientist, but he just isn't... I really wish he'd go back to just being insignificant though - this is dangerous shit (and yeah - car accidentsdon't have an R0 of 2.5).
