You should see if you can get a sample to test in your lab - "We tested it with our most sensitive assays three times and didn't find COVID-19. We did, however, get a clear signal for bullshit".I should say though - SARS-CoV-2 RNA _does not_ always remain in nasal secretions - especially in severe cases. We have multiple examples of patients hospitalized with (confirmed) COVID where the tests are repeatedly negative- so I'm not 100% sure he's actually faking it, but knowing it's Fair, well...

..... and you read the article in it mentions four negative tests for COVID and bacterial pneumonia... I'm not suggesting he's faking having COVID. Not at all.

He is jealous of Peter Piot.

That guy got it for real, for real - nice enough essay he had in Science about it.

Fair is definitely faking it. NCoV-19 RNA stays in the nasal secretions for literally weeks. He did not have any other tests than the Abbott test in the Emergency Department. So, is it 4 or 5 tests he has had? He told Hoda Kotb this morning that he had the Abbott test (twice), the two tests mentioned by POTUS and the BioFire. Sorry Tulane does not have the BioFire test.

If he goes on a ventilator then he is not faking it.

"OK Dr Fair, we are going to put you on this ventilator", "Actually doctor I am feeling a lot better now"

No test is perfect. Curious though as to what's going on with those negative hospitalized patients. Can't say we've seen this here. ]
