August 14, 2020 - Excess death calculations has us actually at 200,000 deaths from COVID-19. Global USA Did Task Force today. Had brief discussion with Scott Atlas. He is concerned about being seen as the "anti-Fauci". He says that he is not in favor of "let it rip" to develop herd immunity. He believes in herd immunity, but he feels that we should just protect the elderly and vulnerable in nursing homes. He may be backing off on what he was "supposed" to have said. Clearly, Deb Birx and to some extent Redfield feel that he is dangerous. He might be, but I really need to hear from him what is position is on a variety of subjects. Joan Baez sent me a beautiful note this evening. Hi Tony, Just a thought.. People have told me over and over how important I was I'm their lives..I never really either believed them or paid them much attention. But maybe too much modesty, false or otherwise, is as silly as blowing ones own trumpet to loudly. I wonder if you have any idea (probably not) how important you are to us, our health, our sense of hope, and that we won't go under, not just yet. I am not optimistic about the future of our country, or the world for that matter. But that doesn't mean I've given up. I'm fortunate to paint, and paint well. Same as I sang well. I had the blessed luck to end my singing career shortly before Covid upended the entertainment industry. My first portrait exhibit was called "Mischief Makers". It consisted of people who had spoken truth to power, many risking their lives to make change without the use of violence. Without even thinking about it, you are doing nonviolent resistance every time you stand up in front of the cameras with people all around you who are doing everything possible to negate common sense and science.. knowing your life oddly and unexpectedly is more fragile than you'd thought, by the splits and divisions, mistrust and hatred - mostly people by who are encouraged to do evil, are now very close by. Corragio Tony! If I, or anyone from my community of activists and friends can help you out in any way, please just let us know. Meantime, my British mom used to say, "Carry on the good works and take care.. good people are scarce." Yours, Joan On rereading this I see that parts of it might be appropriate to put up on my face book page. Let me knkw if that makes you uncomfortable in any way. PRESS:

August 15, 2020 Brett Giroir getting slammed by the press for saying that we do not need to do widespread testing. He is acting annoyed with the press (which is a bad idea) when they push him and mention that all the health experts disagree with him. The Fauci cult continues:

Scott Atlas now the main person that Trump listens to. I have reached out to Scott to give him a fair chance to explain to me exactly how he feels about children getting infected and the issues with letting community spread happen. We obviously differ here. He and White House feel that we can let children get infected in schools since they do not get sick and we just need to protect the vulnerable in Nursing Homes. Katie Miller asked me to counter with some statements and I did 21 August 2020 Improvement in care resulting in greater lag in fatalities to cases and hospitalization declines. Increased cases today are hospitalization increasing in 2-3 weeks and increased fatalities in 6-8 weeks. Itis critical to continue to drive down cases now to decrease hospitalizations and fatalities in the Fall Highlighting test positivity rate changes as there is again stability in testing and decreased backlogs making the trends in test positivity predictive again. Improvements are seen across the country except the Heartland and Midwest and some areas of TX Improvements in test positivity across the Sunbelt except NV with continued high test positivity in Las Vegas Florida continues to improve for your trip today including improvements in Miami which had remained stubbornly high.
