Easy enough to find the research links between WIV, the wildlife rescue and Yang Guoxiang. Looks solid. Avian flu and lions! @Kristian Andersen we might use that last reference in an upcoming application.

Completely made up, top to bottom. Tell me this isn't 2003 all over again - WMD this time being WIV (see the resemblance....). Total crazy town. https://republicans-intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/covid-19_and_the_wuhan_institute_of_virology_19_may_2 021.pdf

As Uncle Joe Biden might say this is a BFD! Here, we report the genome characterization and viral receptor analysis of a novel lineage of SARSr-CoVs in Tongguan town, Mojiang county, Yunnan province in China in 2015, the same location where we found bat RaTG13 in 2013 [1].

BFD. Let's hope it's published before the war starts.

Very interesting - I love how they totally do not drop a beat. Interesting viruses - maybe pangolins after all? I'm glad they gave Jesse his eight mysterious viruses. Turns out they weren't SARS-CoV-2 :man-shrugging: (ANY idiot would realize this if not so deep into crazy land)

Hybrid pangolin / mink / whatever farming happening in China? Hubei?

Don't rule out those pangolins! Zheng-Li Shi has nerves of steel....

How does the ORF1ab tree look? I usually think that is more informative. The RpYN06 paper has just been accepted in Cell.

WIV are in an impossible position: don't release the data and they are accused of hiding it, release it and they are accused of faking it. Having no PCR/antibody positives at the WIV and they are accused of lying, having n = 1 caseat WIV then that would be patient zero.
