Yup. I tell you, so much of this is done to George.

Just awful.

I'm meant to be on a review paper for Nature on COVID with George. I'm going to take my name off now in protest.
Weifeng is a good guy, but I can't agree to this.

I'm going to blow my brains out if people getting adding text. It's not an undergrad essay FFS.

We should lock editing on the new version...

If I'm your average punter, I don't want to hear about false equivalence. I just want to know if it came out of a lab or
not.

Hah - that edit was mine and I actually think that point is really key . But hey, all good to axe :axe:
[2021-06-29 19:08:25]
[Eddie Holmes]
The point is correct, but not for this doc. We need to end on a simple and powerful argument - no direct evidence for
a lab escape.

How are we doing new coauthors like Mike? Could give him comment only permissions on the GoogleDoc or send
him a word version and then manually work in the comments? Ora PDF for initial look? Could embed a secret code
in each version we send out to track leaks
[2021-06-30 10:20:31]
[Robert Garry]
Perhaps, word version and request that they use track changes probably works the best. Old school. You can do the
same with Google docs obviously but when ten or more ppl get to making changes as we've seen now about 5X it
gets unwieldy.

[Andrew Rambaut]
Personally I find it much worse when I get 10 word documents with track changes on and have to merge them.

I have created a PDF version with a code in the DOI of the last reference. [shared file(s): Image from iOS.jpg]

But I may be a bit paranoid
