E.g., in the Tanzania example, a lineage hopped into some animal, caused an epizootic (with no spill-back), and then at some point spilled back into human, causing onward human-to-human transmission. It'd be a rare event and I don't think it's super likely, but I'm not sure our current data is inconsistent with such a scenario?
