I just wanted to note (and apologize if you already know) that there are certain clearance steps and training that needs to be done before the BSL3 clearance is given. I did not want to assume that Drs. Fauci and Zoon are already cleared to visit the BSL3. If they have not been cleared, Janette LeBron in Dr. Barry's lab was very helpful in guiding me through the process. Many thanks and apologize if I am stating the obvious. The one positive in having to cancel the event due to the shutdown, is the availability of Dr. Fauci to participate on the rescheduled date. With regards to the format of the roundtable discussion, below is the note that Dr. Collins sent to the IC Directors and Deputies participating in the roundtable, prior to the cancellation I hope this is instructive and would be happy to provide any additional background and clarifications. The costs of the catered lunch will be supported out of the representational fund - covering both the guests and IC Directors.
