Deb's Daily Report: Data and reporting has stabilized and we are back on the same accelerating curve as before the delayed reporting and substantial declines in testing over the past 10 days. This week we expect to see the beginning of the post Thanksgiving surge as this would be when the silent spread starts to impact the more vulnerable Americans. We now have only 2 states (HI, VT) and DC in the green zone, 12 in the yellow and orange zone and 36 in the red zone. We are now seeing significant resurgence in all states except VT and HI and rapidly increasing cases across America that will lead to escalating hospitalizations the end of this week into next week and then fatalities. This is the worse situation we have faced and although vaccinations will help towards the end of Jan the next 7 weeks will be overwhelming if we don't work with states to increase their mitigation and provide the highest level of Administration support to the behavioral changes needed by every American.
