Congrats on your Acting Principal Deputy Director appointment! I spoke with Larry earlier today and he noted how
pleased he was to have you working in this capacity. I had the chance to share with him a new venture that we've
launched at the foundation and he recommended that I connect with you. I plan to do some targeted outreach in the DC
area in the next couple of months and would love your perspectives before I start to initiate contact. Would you have time

JENNI WEISMAN, PHD
HEAD OF STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
Jenni leads the Partnerships Unit,
focusing on strategic external
alliances, internal partnerships, and
portfolio management to enable the
maximum leverage and capacity for
the Accelerator's programmatic goals.
She joined the Foundation after a
decade of US Government service at
NIH, HHS, and DARPA. Jenni is a
physical chemist by training with
antimalarial drug discovery
experience.
DAN WATTENDORF, MD
DIRECTOR
Dan is the Director of the Accelerator
and leads the Activator Unit, focused
on exploring and funding seedling
efforts across a wide variety of topics
for proof-of-concept potential. He
joined the Foundation following a
successful tenure at DARPA, where
his funded technologies formed the
basis of multiple mRNA, mAb, and
cellular therapeutics companies.
Dan is a clinically trained physician
with multiple genetics fellowships and
a retired USAF Colonel.

MIKE MCCUNE, MD, PHD
HEAD OF HIV FRONTIERS
Mike leads the HIV Frontiers Unit, the
flagship unit of the Accelerator that
aims to discover, develop, and deliver
cures for HIV and SCD for
global implementation. He joined
the foundation with over 30 years
of research experience in
HIV pathogenesis, prevention,
and treatment. Mike is a
physician scientist and co-founder
of multiple companies in addition
to his long and decorated career
in academia.
