In my view, scheduling an April date for the NIH-BMGF workshop that accommodates Bill's travel to DC is a preferred option to organizing a July date, when he would not be available I look forward to your thoughts If we respond positively, I'll do a quick survey to determine the availability of the NIH co-chairs

Hi Josie 7 i These dates work for Dr Collins, as well as each of the co-chairs, with the exception of Doug Lowy, who would be at a cancer association meeting in New Orleans So they do look feasible for us

Hi Robert, Please pencil in April 18th for the Annual NIH-BMGF meeting. We just received confirmation from Bill's office that he will be able to attend the meeting on this date. Thanks and I'm sure we'll be in touch soon. Josie

Hi Francis, Good news. Bill Gates is able to join the NIH-BMGF workshop on April 18, to coincide with a planned trip to DC. This certainly raises the bar on assembling a stimulating and forward thinking agenda - and influencing and informing his perspectives Among the NIH working group co chairs, only Doug Lowy has a current conflict on that date.
