Hi Robert, As you know, we've been batting around possible dates for the 2016 NIH-BMGF Annual Meeting. Bill is keen to attend (like he was last year) but aligning dates is pretty tough. We just heard from his office that his participation may be possible on either April 18 or 19 because he will already be on the East Coast at that time. I know we were looking at the July time frame but would this earlier time frame work with leadership and co-chairs on your side? I did a quick calendar scan for our side and the majority would be available. Any guidance you can provide would be much appreciated! Inline-Images: image007.png; image008.png; image009.jpg Hi Francis, See the note below from the Gates Foundation. In my view, scheduling an April date for the NIH-BMGF workshop that accommodates Bill's travel to DC is a preferred option to organizing a July date, when he would not be available I look forward to your thoughts If we respond positively, I'll do a quick survey to determine the availability of the NIH co-chairs

Hi Josie 7 i These dates work for Dr Collins, as well as each of the co-chairs, with the exception of Doug Lowy, who would be at a cancer association meeting in New Orleans So they do look feasible for us

Hi Robert, Please pencil in April 18th for the Annual NIH-BMGF meeting. We just received confirmation from Bill's office that he will be able to attend the meeting on this date. Thanks and I'm sure we'll be in touch soon. Josie

Hi Francis, Good news. Bill Gates is able to join the NIH-BMGF workshop on April 18, to coincide with a planned trip to DC. This certainly raises the bar on assembling a stimulating and forward thinking agenda - and influencing and informing his perspectives Among the NIH working group co chairs, only Doug Lowy has a current conflict on that date.
