He came on TV last night wearing a blue suit with no tie saying that he felt fine and will be in hospital for a few days Mark Meadows called my cell while I was walking on the C & O Canal at around 8:30 AM to ask my advice about when the POTUS could go out publicly again. I mentioned that the CDC guidelines say 10 days from the onset of sxs. His sxs started Thrusday, Oct. 1 and so 10 days would be Saturday, Oct.10. Mark told me that on Friday his temp was 103 and his O2 sat was in the 80s. That triggered the Remdesivir. Today (Sunday) he is up and about in his room and is afebrile. O2 sat is improved and he feels much better. I told Mark to send the POTUS my best wishes. At least seven people besides the president who were there (the Amy Coney Barret event in the Rose Garden) have tested positive in recent days: first lady Melania Trump, former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie (R), University of Notre Dame President John Jenkins, Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and an unnamed journalist. Contacted by Sean Conley. I told him about the time I went there to help in the treatment of President Nixon's pneumonia. He then commented on my voice and my successful vocal cord surgery. October 9, 2020 - Global USA We are clearly seeing resurgences in various parts of USA , esp. the upper midwest and the Northwest (see below). This is exactly what we (Deb and I) predicted would happen if young people did not abide by public health recommendations (masks, crowds, etc). It also validates my insisting to the VP that although I did not like being the "skunk at the picnic", the upticks in case positivity clearly predicted the increase incases → hospitalizations → deaths. Also, shows that Atlas and his 3 stooges are completely incorrect. Gov. Cuomo called me up. Deb wanted me to speak with him about the surge in NYC since she knows that we are friends. I asked his brother Chris to have him call me. Andrew feels that the NYC surge is driven almost exclusively by the Hasidic Jews who feel that they have "herd immunity". Obviously they do not (see Atlas). In the middle of the conversation, the POTUS calls me (see below) POTUS called me this AM at 9:10 AM. He is still very hyper and is saying that the Regeneron product "cured" him. He had with him on speaker phone Sean Conley and the entire Walter Reed team. October 10, 2020 - Multiple calls with Katie Miller, Stephen Mill and Mark Meadows. Big issues is when to get the POTUs back into the public (campaign rallies). I needed to respond to the misrepresentation of my support forTrump by the GOP campaign and so when Kaitlan Collins contacted me about it, I issued a statement that she tweeted: "In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed any political candidate. The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials." It went totally viral on twitter and several networks and cable reported it. The GOP campaign hit back by giving other quotes from me saying that I did indeed support what the POTUS was doing. However, they left out all f my criticisms, and besides in none of those quotes did I endorse the POTUS. Now the GOP campaign is tweeting everything that I ever said positive about our effort trying to call me a liar about denying that I am favoring Trump. This is turning into an ongoing war between me and the GOP campaign. Nate Silver tweeted that the GOP campaign is really stupid to pick a fight with Tony Fauci just a couple of weeks before the election. Jon Karl called out Alyssa Farah on "This Week" saying that she would not let me on the show.
