Hi,
My name's Will Sommer, I'm a reporter with The Daily Beast in DC. There's a press
conference scheduled for next week that's supposed to detail sexual assault allegations
against Dr. Fauci -- it has all the hallmarks for me of a smear campaign from some GOP
operatives, but wanted to flag if the Fauci office has any comment or if this has been
referred to law enforcement for investigation. Attaching the press release below.
Thanks for your time

On December 6, 2014, former television intern Diana Rodriguez alleges that she met Dr.
Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, at
the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore.
Rodriguez, who was 20 at the time, had several drinks with Dr. Fauci at the bar and
proceeded to accompany him to his suite overlooking the harbor.
The following is Ms. Rodriguez's accounting of the night.
He looked rich and powerful, and I love smart men with grey hair. He told me all
about his fantastic career in medicine, so I went upstairs.
He made it clear that he expected sex once we got to the room and by then I was
so drunk the room was spinning. He threw me on the bed and pulled up my dress.
I was too drunk to resist, but I begged him not to. He only said, "don't you know
who I am, you little bitch?"
He became angry when he failed to get an erection - he looked like he was in his
mid-70s - so he got up and popped two Cialis pills. He then told me to stay on the
bed while he returned a call. I was so scared I obeyed.
About 15 minutes later, he returned to the bed and shoved me down again. Now
he was erect, and I was defenseless. Suddenly, I had the presence of mind to grab
a pen from the nightstand, with which I jabbed him in the shoulder. I then ran out
of the room and out of the hotel, never to return.
It was the most harrowing and terrifying experience of my life.
Now, when I see him on TV touted as some kind of hero, I want the nation to know
the truth.
This is my truth. This is my story.
