Dear Patti,
We are preparing a framed certificate and getting ready to mail it to Dr. Fauci. (We are hoping to get a photo or film of him
holding the certificate, which we would use to represent him receiving the award during our online ceremony in May.)
Please provide the postal address where it would be most convenient for him to receive this certificate.
Many thanks,
Charlotte

Hello Prof. Elliott --
I saw your American Spectator article
Israel's $1 Million Payoff to Dr. Fauci Violates the Constitution at
I think it is fair to say that the occurrence of the Covid pandemic significantly increased the
likelihood of Dr. Fauci becoming the sole recipient of one of the 3 Dan David Prizes
awarded this year. The pandemic brought into sharp focus his contribution to this and other
serious health crises during his career. The reasons for his visibility are cogently explained
at

It is not fair to say that he received the $1 million prize "as a payoff from Israel". The Dan
David Foundation is a private charitable organization similar in concept to the organization
that awards the Nobel prizes. The Dan David Prizes are almost as large but definitely not
as well-known as the Nobel prize. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobel_ Prize
However, the method of determining who receives them is similar.
There are 12 members on the board of the Dan David Foundation. They are listed at
https:/Awww.dandavidprize.org/about/the-board
Four seem to be US citizens, including Henry Kissinger who was the US Secretary of
State.
Four seem to be Israeli, including Ariel David (son of the founder) and Ariel Porat
(president of Tel Aviv University).
Four seem to be French, including Emmanuel Roman who spent 18 years at Goldman
Sachs.
There were 4 members on the Review Committee who evaluated potential recipients of the
prize that Dr. Fauci received. They are listed at
https://www.dandavidprize.org/about/review-committees
1 - Prof Elizabeth Miller of the Faculty of Epidemiology & Population Health in London, UK.
2 - Prof Philip Greenland at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL.
3 - Prof. Fred Binka at the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana.
4 - Prof. Daniel Cohen, Head of the School of Public Health at Tel Aviv University in Israel.
Five of the 16 people mentioned above are probably Israeli and none of them has any
significant connection to the Israeli government.
