And so who had it outside of the United States?
  2. 2026-04-10 09:00 Ralph S. Baric open
I don't believe anyone had it. I would have to review the Chinese papers again that were published. The Chinese published a couple of papers on different MERS strains. I don't think they used 422, and I don't think they made molecular clones for either of them.
  3. 2026-04-10 09:00 Christina Salazar open
Okay. And did you ever receive any biological samples by hand from any of Fang Li or Fang Li's postdocs?
  4. 2026-04-10 09:00 Ralph S. Baric open
Fang Li sent me reagents in the mail. We had collaborative grants together, so certainly we collaborated and exchanged samples on occasion, yeah.

Well, the grants were formulated in such a way that he would do biochemical studies and then we would do some more validation studies in the context of live viruses.

Are you aware of any association between Fang Li and Yusen Zhou, Z-H-O-U?
  8. 2026-04-10 09:00 Ralph S. Baric open
Again, you should ask Fang Li those questions.
  9. 2026-04-10 09:00 Christina Salazar open
Are you aware of Dr. Zhou?
