Just pulling the Baric discussion back to the Zoonati high priesthood - I wonder if the DT letter takes on any newinterpretation given what we now know Baric was planning/doing. Makes it seems like an even weirder play to me.

Two things that I think are clear - (1) Baric thinks of himself as the only expert and (2) is vindictive. He emailed Jon that shit and signed that Science letter 100% out of spite - I have no doubts about it.

Everything comes around - people read the articles. It all gets cataloged and recorded. The problem with Baric is heshowed zero class by throwing Shi under the bus. Mike Worobey was at that fun fest with Asher, Quay, Baric, Relman, Bloom and Chan that spawned the SCience ltr- I'm betting MW has some insights. I'm prety sure it's part ofwhat is motivating MW right now..
