Having "conquered" the "origin" of SC2 DRASTIC turns its "arsenal" on another possible "lab leak." Seemingly it's timely to relitigate the CHAT-OPV hypothesis. If there's just a 1% chance HIV is a "lab leak" shouldn't we shut down all the virologists? [shared file(s): image.png]

It was Tom Curtis of The Rolling Stone that birthed the notion that HIV was a "lab leak." The last paragraph is prophetic - blame the virologists. "Like Salk and Sabin, Koprowski had the best intentions: He wanted to eradicate adebilitating and deadly scourge. But with what we know now, it's clear there was a certain hubris involved in therough-and-ready campaigns to conquer polio. There is evidence that all three pioneers used vaccines inadvertentlycontaminated with viruses from a species dangerously close to our own. If the Congo vaccine turns out not to be the way AIDS got started in people, it will be because medicine was lucky, not because it was infallible." Hmmm - "A STARTLING NEW THEORY ATTEMPTS TO ANSWER THE QUESTION 'WAS IT AN ACT OF GOD OR AN ACT OF MAN?"

Last paragraph of Alina's Slate Podcast:"We have all of these virus hunting programs spread everywhere, especiallyin developing countries. They're worth hundreds of millions of dollars. And it's not just that many, many groups ofscientists all draw from this money. There's a disincentive for them to advocate for an investigation into origins because it could shift the perception of their work as life-saving, as pandemic-preventing, to one that could actually result in a pandemic and in lives lost."
