   You need to read this. I knew about the mine story (it's in a PhD thesis). The key mistake is that they imply that RaTG13/4991 is the direct ancestor of SARS-CoV-2 which it clearly isn't. And if we except that it suggests that the WIV do not have other bat viruses that could have led to SARS-CoV-2 through experimental manipulation.
