Wendy Barclay just got in touch to suggest the idea of getting some document together to refute some of the arguments being made about lab escape - particularly the GOF ones. She says that some may try to push this at the G7 meeting (for all the usual political reasons - deflect blame, etc. and may end up being an attack on virologists). Perhaps we should try to get the point by point evidence document together ASAP and we can then give it to all the people involved that we know will appreciate having it (Fauci, Farrar, Vallance etc.)?
