He mostly utilizes rabbits (rabbit pox) and mice (ectromelia). * He has not made a vaccinia virus IL-4 recombinant and will not do so without our permission. + At Jahrling's request Buller has made a cowpox virus mouse IL-4 recombinant which he transferred to USAMRIID (Jahrling). Buller has no plans to work with it at his own institution. Still awaiting confirmation on source of funding for making the construct. Jahrling has not used the construct in any experiment. It is secured at USAMRIID. * Back to my earlier note, the identity of the US person who expressed concern was Richard Hatchett. Pamela
