Question of universal wearing of masks dominating conversation Press conference today: I was originally supposed to be sitting on the side for questions and at the last minute, they told me that I was not needed. This was not unreasonable since the presser was about masks and Jerome Adams had been pushing this and CDC released the guidelines about masks and so it made sense that I did not need to be there. I mentioned this to Jim Acosta (CNN) and he made a story that I was excluded from the prsser. This created a firestorm where CNN made it a story saying that I wa excluded since I had said last night 9CNN Townhall) and this AM (Fox and Friends) that all states should practice "stay at home', and the POTUS has refused to "mandate that". They painted it as an exclusion of Fauci since he disagreed with the POTUS, which was not the case.
