There was the most beautiful display of fireworks on the mall that I have ever seen. Let us hope that the congregation of people at the celebration does not lead to a discernible surge in cases . As I have said on various TV shows including on Meet the Press this morning, there is a possibility of being two Americas, one that is vaccinated without any surge of infections and one that is unvaccinated leading to regional surges such as in those southern states with 35% or less of their population vaccinated.
